    I have a Red Injun 102 but not a B 102. It needs honing. Got a pic?

It won't be here until Fri or sat. It was a little less expensive than I expected though it is a little rough.

I was doing some complaining in another thread about how I like the one Boker that I have but that they don't offer any 6/8 square tip models. Someone pointed out that our favorite vendor in Japan had a few nice ones that fit that description. That was practically a dare as I interpreted it. LOL. So here it is. I have to say, the steel is really nice. It honed really easily and today will be its trial run.

OCDshaver, my older Boker Imperial is a 6/8 square point. I just got it out to see if it was a 6/8 & it is.

BTW, I like the one you got. I like 3 pin straights a lot. Nice score!

I have had a chance to use this one a few times now. And I have to say, it is much more impressive than I thought it would be. First, it honed really easily. Now and then you get one that requires a lot of back and forth or you have to grind away a little bit of bad steel before things settle down. This one came around right away, no tricks. The first shave was really good. But I felt there was another level I might be able to achieve with the edge. So I took it back to the hones for just a little push. Two quick passes on a 12k and about fifteen more on my 20k. The edge is beautiful. Its fantastically sharp and delivers a very smooth, irritation free shave. It has a lot of the same characteristics of the Japanese razors I own. This one is a keeper.

I just bought a new Boker Silver Steel from SRD. I don't have a digital camera to offer pictures of proof. I wouldn't know how to use a digital anyway. Tomorrow morning will be the Boker's first test shave and I'll be comparing its performance to my old Wade and Butcher, which happens to be one of my best razors.
