Thanks buddy. They are rather different from other scales I've seen. Some glitter scales would be very interesting to make & I'm interested in seeing what kind of design some will come up with!

My great grandfathers, that I still use. has the same scales. I couldn't see the number coding on it. But the casing for mine is org. and looks very similar to it.

    Default The "Shumate Shaving Society"

My first quality straight razor was a Shumate Tonso. I still love it to this day. It's one of my regular shavers. Regrettably since I've had it I broke the tip off of the front side scale up by the pivot.

I recently picked up this Barber Deluxe. I'm hoping to get more Shumates over time. It's probably my favorite vintage brand.

They are wonderful razors. One of the easier honing razors, for me.

My first and for now only straight razor, an Ebay alumnus, Shumate Antiseptic Barber. Shaves great! Had to have it honed by somebody as it was sold "Shave Ready", lol. Need to find a mate for it very soon.

Gorgeous. Those scales remind me of Gold Bug scales. I love them.
