    How wide is the Blade? Seems very heavy too me :-)

    Mericant, Nativel, Hornus and Esmelin blades are 6/8", Buisson and Holtzapfel 11/16".

    Thank you so much! And do you think that these are the original scales? It's quite a shame they have a small crack near the pivot point...

    Likely not. They are wood, which is a rarity for scales, but the craftsmanship looks really shoddy for a commercial razor. The collars could be original, but it's hard to say. It's also been reground.

    Whomever rescaled this razor did not even try to center the pins and the wood looks like a farmer rescaled it using a cigar as a template. Still worth bringing back from the dead.
