Got this back last week, Val added a pair of green / gold scales that really pop, and cleaned it up, and put a superb edge on using his J-Nats this time.

Damn,, that's gorgeous phrank. Val did a nice job on those skins. How's the shave, dare I ask?

Quick phone pic of two NOS blades:
- Hitachi Yasuki Steel (HYS) "Hard" 6/8
- Takehana "Feon" 6/8
Hoping they'll hone up beautifully.....
Got several NOS Japanese blades this week. The "Dream" has interesting designation on the back of the tang, not sure what it means but I have never seen one like that before.
Nice haul, Stefan. My next RAD target is most definitely a shoulderless Japanese full-hollow. Too bad you singlehandedly drove up the price point with this grab. ;)
I think I need to start buying "several NOS Japanese blades" at a time, if I could ever find them. Beautiful blades, Stefan.
"Super Excellent Razor" " Best Dream Steel."
You know your onto a winner with captions like that! :D
Congratulations Stefan.
Stunning batch Stefan. I'm still fondly appreciative of the Pechika 55 you recommended several years ago.
I've tried my best to stay away from this thread; I have brush acquisition issues.
Now I have a desire for a Japanese razor. :(
I just can't get out.
This is the one that pushed me over the edge. I read that the scales were from a different razor though. This makes me feel better, knowing that there is not another one out there like it; waiting for me. :D

Lol the addiction to Japanese straights is the worst of them all.
Now John, your taste is excellent. Good choice for a Marine.
Does anyone here read Japanese? I'm curious to know what the tang reads (other than, perhaps, EXTRA VERY HARD).
(In the case that it might read TWO GOLDEN MEN / PAKISTAN, please feel free to remain silent.)
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Chris

Here's mine. It's a very small blade with a symmetrical hollow grind. It's got some nice spine work and is a nice little shaver.Attachment 263683Attachment 263684
I took a chance on this one. It was listed as an unknown brand at Griffith Shaving Goods, but in excellent condition. The price was relatively low, so I took a chance, and I'm glad that I did. It's an excellent shaver, similar to the majority of my Japanese straights. I now know that it's a Zuiho.
Very nice Richard, looks very much like the Diamond Hayashi

Every since Andrew gave away Griffiths Shaving, I've occasionally gone to look, last two, three weeks, I'd seen that Boker, and I believe BobH and another member have a stunning Boker with the covered tang, seeing that razor of yours just pushed me over the line....
Not as beautiful as many of the razors posted here but it is a great shaver and a friend made the scales, which I love.

Looks gorgeous to me.
Griffith has a nice soap line too. Scents are all good with great performance. Next time you order chuck one in the basket. I don't think you'll be disappointed
Mine is not a wedge,

Interesting, mine is full wedge, my other one is full hollow....
