You'll have fun learning how to shave with this one. Honing is also fun

This came in from Japan yesterday a NOS Dashi 350 made from iron sand Tamahagane by Yasuki steel, a western style kamisori a delightful and very beautiful razor I'm very pleased as you can imagine, I'm also waiting on another NOS Japanese Hoshi Tombo 8000 also coming in from Japan in the next few weeks, that's a razor I've been hunting down for a while very hard to find a NOS one I'll post a few photo's when it arrives.

Gorgeous Jamie. A lovely pairing with the P8.

Here's my recently acquired R.Saito SK-1 razor. Apparently NOS. In lovely condition, stropped it and used it last night. A most interesting shave. Took a fair bit of concentration but produced a lovely satisfying shave. A fantastic alternative to a straight straight razor.

The first one is a Hoshimasa, you're right.
I have a Hoshimasa as well, but it's a kamisori and 2 Atlas razors. Hoshimasa is a quite famous maker, while it's hard to find info about Atlas.

Thanks, I really like my Atlas, its a really awesome razor! Not sure Hillman is a Japanese brand, but i assume so since I've only seen it on sale from sources in Japan. Perhaps it was made OEM by some of the bigger manufacturer.

Today i got this nice Kenwa Razor, the Blade is nice but small (32mm X 18,5mm) and lighweight so i had my Problems with the first Shave a few hours ago. The Handle is made of Bamboo i guess, it has a long crack on the upper side when it arrived, i filled it with acrlic filler and lacquered the Handle, not Urushi but tranparent acrylic Lacquer to keep the Vintage look and preserve the handle from moisture.

This Hoshi Tombo dropped through the box today and when I saw her Man you should have seen the smile on my face, well I've finally captured one I've been looking high and low for a long time for this razor in a NOS the spec's are 13/16 quarter hollow with a Monkey tail, an extremely beautiful looking razor I can't wait to try her out she certainly appears to be shave ready so I'll just give her a good stropping and away to go.
