Thanked: 13I've been learning to hone on a Nile, Chemical Steel-Highest Class-for Barber's Use-First Quality, and managed to put an edge on it that shave great. First off, what the heck is Chemical Steel and, also, the thing is magnetized! My wife jokingly said I could stick it on the fridge, what's with the magnetic thing?

Thanked: 580Arrived home from work and hello. Terrible photo as usual. Y.S.S. Triumph arrived at last.
No hone wear that I can see although it wasn't described as new.
Opaque scales are a nice touch, no sign of warping or any problems.
Struggling to find info on production dates of any Japanese razor let alone this one.

This showed up in the mail today .. An EIKO YSK.2, with factory edge. Promptly taken for a full synthetic progression .. Naniwa Professional, 3K to 5K, Superstones 8K to 12K, and finished on Suehiro Gokumyo 20K .. Quite fitting for a high class Japanese Western-Style Straight ..
