Here I have my 3 Japanese straights.
1st my unknown maker ( haven't had kanji translated yet) may be Chinese.
2nd Iwasaki 1550 in faux ivory had some really bad uneven hone wear that I had to fix, but really cheap eBay find.
3rd Iwasaki 2858

Thanked: 2591I finally got my hands on a NOS Eiko quarter hollow. Those are in my experience among the very best shavers out there, I have honed quite a few of them and never was disappointed in the edge they took.
I also received a set of three NOS Daishi Tamahagane razors in a fitted box from the factory. I have not seen a tri-razor box before so this is really quite the surprise. The razors are 1/4 hollow, 1/2 hollow and an asymmetric grind 4/8. I have had Daishi before and they are superb shavers as well.
The last razor is a NOS Hi-Sector Extra Brand, the style looks like a Parker made blade but the spine is thinner than the Parkers I have seen.Stefan

Those are gorgeous.
It's good to see someone who's passionate about a type of razors, I'm the same about my Sheffields, but always plenty of room for others.
Congrats Stefan...I really like the Daishi with the MOP like scales...wow!
