Phrank, is that from the New York seller? If so, I got one of the smiling Iwasaki's from him a while back. The tang has the marking painted on, but they were under a layer of patina/tarnish, so I got it for $50 because the seller couldn't read the markings Shaves awesomely!! Just ordered a NOS Cherub and a Hasegawa from him tonight, too I gotta get my Japanese razors cleaned up and a pic taken one of these days! They are quickly becoming my Go To razors!

I've had a lot of help from Arsenico in the Kanji help thread and he's identified the one in the second picture. The group of four kanji at the top says something like "very special guarantee", and the isolated pair below say "tamahagane". The two kanji at the top of the man column of writing is "special quality" or something like that, followed by the four "copyright" kanji arranged in a square, and then the maker Yamato Shin or Yamato Gokoro.

We're still working on IDing the one in the first picture, but it also has the tamahagane kanji, this time at the very top in a group of four kanji. The last kanji in the maker's name looks like "maru" so it could be a Yahatamaru but we're still working it*.

*Arsenico is still working on it.

The scales and numeral stamps look like Feather, but tough to tell, I would think it would have a country of origin stamp.
