Thanked: 60That is common in Wacker shoulderless razors. the best is to unpin it if you can. this allows you to reduce the width of the scales in addtion to removing the excess extending past the pin. If not tape the blade and use various grits of wet dry sandpaper, 0000 steel wool and then finish on a low RPM wool pad buffer wheel, treat with mineral oil and a final polish with a nice floor wax and soft cloths. Others may have more efficient methods. Good luck

Don't know why Wacker has been pinning so far down on some razors recently, indeed it's a pain for stropping. As above, best is to shorten the scales beyond the pivot pin. I've had do this a couple of times (horn scales) with a Dremel and fine sandpaper cylinder and then finish by hand with Micromesh 1.5k to 12k to get the original gloss. You really need to un-pin and remove the blade to work comfortably/safely. If I buy another Wacker direct, I'll write first and post the response - all this shouldn't be necessary!

Thanked: 96Here is my new purchased Wacker Jahresmesser 7/8 full hollow 2016 limited edition 31 of 99. This is my first Wacker and all I can say is where have you been all my life. The blade is deadly sharp yet it gives an amazingly smooth shave with no irritation. It says full hollow but is looks like an extra full hollow. Really like the Wacker!
