Just received this beautiful Wacker! The gun metal finish is very nice and she shaves just great.

Decisions, decisions...
I bought a 6/8 Wacker from John and it is a beautiful Spanish Point razor to say the least; however, despite having been honed before shipping, it was not shave ready. I ended up sending it out for rehoning and was told the bevel had to be reset, correctly. Ever since it has been one of my favorite shavers. Now I want to buy a 7/8 Wacker but with what it took to get the 6/8 shave ready I am kind of hesitant.
I've read all the posts in this club and it seems to me that it is a 50/50 shot at receiving an actual shave ready razor from John.
Any input?

I considered the 15/16 but the description "I adjudicate/categorize a 15/16" as a smaller 7/8" razor even though it is almost a full 1” blade." threw me off.
