Glen, this link: Art.Nr. 1047 shows a Spanish Point in Buffalo Horn 6/8, although it doesn't have the 3 pin configuration. I'm sure you have his website, but in case you don't: Schärfe ist unsere Leidenschaft His email is also [email protected] and you might also ask him if we don't turn up something more concrete. Beautiful set up with lotion and brush. I know you honed it up, so how was it??

I was running off at the keyboard until I noticed the dbl stabilizers. I thought it was the 1/4 grind, which I love. The Williams that heavy Friedmann and a Duck #1 are the only shavers I have that give it competition. I can only guess the one you show is a wonderful shaver - along the lines of the Jungmeister or Red Head. I have the 7/8 Antik, but no 6/8 hollow. If its anything like my other wackers, its wonderful. Some have flaws, two (of 5) have minor warp, but I love each one. My bet is that other owners will say the same.

Shaved with the Wacker again tonight after I re-touced it up a bit more today. Many strokes on the 8K and then the 12K, alternating between strop and 12K until it felt like smooth gliding across the stone. The hairs easily poped and even the small thin ones. I knew, then, it was "good to go" condition. Smooth shave from the Wacker. Only problem is I want to keep shaving with it, and my GOTTA and Revisors, (and a few other) are going to get jealous.
What are your thoughts on the shave, Glen?Last edited by Gibbs; 06-10-2011 at 12:01 AM.

Thanked: 1I just received my Wacker Jungmeister 7/8 today and was pretty disappointed in the shave. I though John C. from Shaveshop honed these himself before shipping? Or am I mistaken? I'm pretty sure its not correct as all my other razors shave much better. Should I reset the bevel and start over? I'm new to honing so I am a little nervous. I really don't want to send it out and pay an extra $30 to get it honed either after spending $280 on the thing.

Thanked: 2Speaking of the 3 Wackers I've bought from John, and the 1 I've got coming in the next week or two, they have all been perfectly honed.
I'd just contact him and ask him to rehone.
I've found them to shave perfectly and the only maintenance honing I've performed is 20 laps on my 0.5 micron diamond pasted paddle strop as needed.

Thanked: 1I just honed the one I got yesterday and it shaved much better today. Got allot of irritation though. I might end up sending it out.
