Thanked: 2I'm really excited to be putting together a 7-day set of Wackers. So far I've got 5 (a 6th is on it's way) and I hope to have the set completed by the beginning of summer. After that then I'll decide on either a box or a leather roll to store them.
Till then... here is some razor porn for you guys.
6/8 Wacker Quarter Hollow Spanish point
6/8 Wacker "Keilschliff" Wedge Ground Round Point
13/16 Wacker "Best Traditions" French Point
6/8 Wacker French Point
6/8 Wacker "Red Head" Spanish Point

Thanked: 1Nice!
Well I sent my Wacker off for some honing work. I want it right before I do my own honing. Are the 6/8 "modern wedge" the only ones that are and were available? I have the one you got pictured. The only other one I know of is the cherry handled one but its the same blade. The wedge grinds are definitely my favorites. I find the full hollows just wimpy to me. They shave good but just don't feel good in the hand to me. It just hit me! A 7 day Wacker set is just freaken awesome!

Thanked: 2Looks like I'm finishing up my Wacker 7-day set sooner than I expected. I've got this one coming in the mail soon.
6/8 Wacker Jugenstil
So for my 7th razor of the set I'm trying to decide on the razors below. Basically I just want a 7-day set that is varied so I look forward to each day.
6/8 Wacker Round Point "Special Razor" - horn
or
6/8 Wacker 1st Model "Old Sheffield" Notch Point
or
6/8 Wacker "Jungmeister" Spanish Point

Thanked: 2I've been on a hiatus for a while since my wife was in a bad cycling accident. She's much better now so I had a little time to take a trip on over to Shavingshop.com. I saw 2 of the acrylic scaled Wackers. I can't decide whether I like them or hate them.
Anyone else?

I think it's beautiful and ingenious. Even when closed you can see the Gold decorations that almost make it look like part of the handle.
