I think about it as the low cost version of the ivory / tortoise scales with big round silver pins like the following ones :

Another entry to the Gentlemans' Set club, a Thomas & Turner 7 day set. On its way for restoration. I suspect these may be Ivory scales, but not sure.
It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice

These razors have now arrived to Dave at restoredrazors.com. He has kindly confirmed the scales are ivory and overall in good condition. I haven't seen his work in the flesh before, but so far he seems like a really nice guy and great communication. He even offered to give the wood box a light sanding and oil for free, which was very kind of him.

Just a reminder about Ivory. A feel good law that may bite us!:

Thanked: 522This is a set of Hill & Sons Haymarket England
Could be wrong but I think I acquired the set from Dylan several years ago.

Here are some razors that may or may not have been part of a set (there are no marking like days of the week etc.) Three matching 5/8 J Weiss in Ivory, all in excellent condition (bar a few spots of rust.) One has a small crack near the pivot on the face side scale, not sure if it needs any intervention to stop it spreading or not (thoughts?). Apologies to a certain 'guy of science' whom I believe was also after these. Don't worry I'll look after them!
Thanks!
