    Probebly belonged to an Ortho Doc,That Large pair of scissors is a Classic cast cutter.

    I would have said a trusses of dissection, perhaps for medical students, doc or veterinary surgeon.

    But I'll keep the orthoption in mind

    Also got this french Querelle's pair, ivory scaled, with an unusually large box.



    But the broken one will be hard to fix due to the (once again unusual) thinness of the scales, so I'll probably have another use of it.

    Edit : adding old ads from the manufacturer of my set, after it was bought by Thinet.

    Glad you pointed that out, pixelfixed. I had some disturbing images in my head, wondering what those scissors were designed to do.
