There is no evidence of junior using only Kippax on his work, but his Father Robert used the Kippax mark alone according to Reminiscences of Sheffield by R.E.Leader.

Thats why i said that your razor was probably made by Robert the father and he passed away in 1775.
There was also a grandson, John, whose mark was PEARL in the 1787 Gales & Martin.

Personally, I'd be hard pressed to make a guess on which of the three Kippaxes it likely was. The razor looks newer than 1775, but I wouldn't bet on that.

I'm certain it was a Kippax though!

A bit better photos, This kind of razors, are, for me, into the simple knife and the strigth razor, quite similar of the ones we can see in the Enciclopedie, engrabed around 1740 or earlier, I think, it´s my opinion that tis kind of primitive razors were coppyed from razors in use like the rest of elements we can see in the engrabeds of the enciclopedi, and not always represent the time when it was done, remember the famous Louis XVI prision razor, quite similar of the 18th century razors we used to see, nevertheless I´m sure that this model was not particular of France, the same of the non tail razors, normally adopted like france models but I have almost two with clear english refenrences, EYAM and NORFOLK, the simbols we can see in tis strage razor are for me an interesting study, Wath do you think? well better photos
