To me it screams Sprecher and Vegas!
I could no longer resist. And I'm totally stoked about it!

Ordered today and Max has it shipped out already.

Sweet! I like them more each time I look at the pics; can't wait to lay eyeballs on them.

Thanks - I do feel like a lucky dude today.
I'm not sure exactly how long it was up but as you know they don't last long. The good timing of it all was definitely another factor - I couldn't ignore that stock doesn't last long.

Just got the word from Max that my razor is ready to be shipped. He has kindly allowed me to use his own photographs to show off the Maxterpiece.

Looks beautiful Jeff, I really like your choice of blade design and scales love the double jimping and the makers mark on the spine, If I was going for one of Max's razors I would probably go for the same model as yourself with only a few very slight design changes, such as a slightly longer tail and a square nose, I would love to own one but the import duty from the USA to the UK always kills off my dream, if that wasn't in the way I think I would have probably made the call sometime ago.

Max creates a razor with some of the cleanest lines I have ever seen.
    Beautiful work throughout.

Then you will just have to go on a holiday with a scrap razor in a large enough box then won't you

Thanks, Jamie. i had initially wanted a Barber's notch but then reconsidered, initially thinking of the straight one but eventually deciding on the Spanish version.
i have had all my other straights past and present, including some of Max's beautiful restores, shipped just plain flat box but somehow my gut told me to get this one tracked and insured. I guess i'll find out about the local customs soon enough as i selected the insured shipping which will list the razor's value.... Oh well.
