Hi Jeff,
Beautiful razor!
Be prepared for a lot of pleasure on your first shave with this great hunk of steel.
It won’t take much getting used to, from the first pass it will be bliss.
Max' customs shave like a dream…enjoy.

Wow...
I thought the pictures that Max would be enough to satisfy me but now after seeing the most recent pictures you posted I find myself craving for more.
May have to get my own - One Day!
Beautiful...

A pic of Max's blue hanging out with Mo wearing blue
You guys were right - the pics while very nice in their own right don't do the razor justice. My pics are even less flattering but I needed to post at least one.

Beautiful work and a nice picture.
Hope that you are enjoying the razor.
In the meantime...
Looks like another Maxi is available on the web page.
8/8 with a French Point...
NICE

I thought it was time to put this one up my Max Sprecher in hunter orange G10 French point quarter hollow 8/8, which was so kindly donated by Birnando and the Straight razor place and came as the main prize during their Christmas photographic competition, I can say that the razor is a first class shaver and a superb piece of craftsmanship, one question for owners of these razors purely for future reference as I always tape the spine while honing any razor I would like to know do you use one layer or two, the reason I ask because the razor is a quarter hollow I wasn't sure because whenever I've had a Hart razor in to hone I've always used two which is also a quarter hollow.

It was honed using one layer of tape, mate.
I hope you enjoy using it as much as I did, a great shaver with smashing looks!Bjoernar

I used a Chosera 1-5-10K progression followed by 3-nagura progression on a Nakayama Maruka Asagi. Tenjou, Koma and Tomo-Naguras. At the very finish I did 30 laps with the slighest haze of tomo-Nagura
If I recall correctly it also responded wonderfully to the Suehiro Gokumyo 20K after the Chosera progression.
The curse of being a honing-nut is to hone all razors far too often, and with all kinds of rocksBjoernar
