Some great examples of some very beautiful work by Max.
Surely will have to get on his list after I figure out what I like (still kind of new to Straight Razor Shaving).

    Default Maxterpieces!

As promised gents, the finished results: 9/8+ Nouveau Sheffield in faux translucent horn with a real Ivory wedge.

    Enjoy drooling.

This is my first time responding. I am a NEWBIE. I recently, October 2012, started with Double Edge shaving. Bought and tried and decided I wanted to try the sticks (straight razors). I was the typical ebay-er buying what I thought looked good. Then I saw Max Sprecher's stuff. I sent him pictures of my sticks that I had bought off of ebay. As Jack Nicholson said in A Few Good Men, "Can you handle the truth?" Max stated that I made a couple of good buys but I over spent. Max shined, honed and commented on my sticks. Also, Max told me not to buy one of his more expensive razors because the upkeep was too much and steered me (received yesterday) to a spanish point fixed blade. I tried it out today, used Proraso and shave oil and OMG - I went from a Ford Pinto to a Ferrari.

My advice to all NEWBIES, get your skills down with a straight stick (razor) and once that is done - spend the extra bucks for Max Sprecher's tools, products or whatever the correct term is. For me, I talked to Max the other day for at least 45 minutes. Fascinating story and life. Max will probably kick my butt for saying this, but this guy is a man's man and truly has been blessed with skills, smarts and just ask him who made Armani cool. ITS A FANTASTIC STORY. So boy's put all your money away in a can, stop buying the vintage stuff (although its all good) and buy yourself an American Made Stick (straight razor) from Max. If you don't like his product - call me and I will buy it from you - unless my wife gets wise to me and takes all means of purchasing from me for buying too much of Max's stuff.
