Ralf Aust
I can't say good enough about Ralf Aust razors. My first SR years ago was a Hoffritz from a retail store many years ago.....I abused it, and gave up on SR shaving. It now lives with Lynn for a (honing) resurrection.
In the last two months I got a new Ralf Aust from SRD and it was a smooth shaver from the start. Have now ordered a 2d. Now that they are more available, I'd suggest everyone try one. They are crafted in a wonderful manner and are excellent shavers...and reasonably priced....not fancy, but great for everyday use!Last edited by Haroldg48; 07-20-2013 at 07:59 PM.

I have the same razor and have been very satisfied with my purchase. It looks like they have several models back in stock at SRD.

+1. I used mine in rotation, every other day for two weeks recently. It was as good after the two weeks as the day Lynn honed it. Mine is a definite keeper.

My 6/8 Grenadilla round point is my favorite razor so far.

There is a 7/8 Aust on SRD as of a few moments ago. Someone will be a happy camper. I wish it was going to be me but it is not to be.

I have the 5/8 and 6/8 RP's and they are both quality shavers. I almost got a finger cramp yesterday when looking at the 7/8 at SRD, wanted to hit that BIN. But, I resisted, and...that's progress.

Got a feeling that one of those 7/8 is going to be joining my collection by the end of the year. Not sure which point to go for but that Spanish looks great. Can't wait to hear how it shaves.
ps more photos please!

The shave with the Ralf Aust was excellent, heavier in the hand than I'm used to, but not to any detriment.

Sounds great!
Any chance all you lucky Ralf Aust owners could post pics of the different types of point?
I couldn't find much on the website and my German is courtesy of Google :-)

Thanked: 14Does anyone know of a Ralf Aust supplier in the UK or the EU? Or even a US supplier that does affordable International shipping? (SRD is no use to me because of its very high shipping charges).
