Thanked: 0I have got one recently. Doesn't look the best (as the name describes) but it shaves well and I if I stay with straights (likely) I will use it until I am ready to buy a new one.

Thanked: 0I just ended up receiving a Frederick Reynolds from him. Larry is great to deal with... I can't wait to start shaving with it...

Thanked: 6Maybe I was lucky when I ordered a sight unseen razor from Larry. I got a great Wostenholm I-XL hollow ground, 5/8, mirror finish on the blade, no major hone wear, no patina, no scratches on the scales and a great edge. I guess it's kind of like playing russian roulette with razors. I thought it was a pretty good deal, I got a great razor and he is a great guy to deal with.
I will more than likely buy another one just for fun and to see what comes in the mail.
He does also say that if you aren't happy with the razor or its condition to message him and he is more than willing to work out a deal.

The FR I picked up at an antique show was one of my first razors. Sheffield steel seems to shave in a much more forgiving manner than Solingen steel. That's just my opinion though.
You won't be disappointed.
BTW-Larry is a great guy and I wouldn't hesitate to buy something from him again.

I too bought a sight unseen when I was starting out and I actually got a very nice Swedish straight with no major flaws, it is an Erik Anton Berg.
It is also my understanding that you can exchange the razor if you are unhappy.
