Thanked: 10You can try a popsicle stick with 2000 grit sandpaper wraped aroud it to sand near pivot without depinning.

Dip a wet toothbrush in come Comet and scrub at that rust, also a lead pencil works well to get in there. Pile some polish like Maas in and use some dental floss. Smash a q-tip with a hammer and use with Maas as well.

The blade is good shape. The toe needs some work. It has a nice patina on it. Some guys actually leave it on there, but if you desire, it should polish up nicely. They make fiberglass detailing pens in different sizes Amazon.com: PrepPen Adjustable Sanding Pen: Arts, Crafts & Sewing I use them all the time when cleaning up old blades. They're great for getting rust out of the pivot area and tang.
