I have a pair of twin 415's that I consider two of my best. They are a smaller sized razor but OMG do they sharpen well and shave well

This is my 501/2 it measures 9/16 and is probably my smoothest shaving razor besides my pumas. My only issue is that it feels quite light (feels more like a toy than a razor) the spine is pretty thin so it's made from pretty small blanks at only 1/8" thick but it's takes the smoothest of edges. It's not a friodur probably a much older carbon steel production.

I just got this razor from ebay today. After a quick clean up and edge inspection i determined it was pretty sharp and not needing too much to get it shave ready.
So being a "less is more" sorta guy i hit on my 3 micron pasted loom strop and finished in on linen treated with Thiers Issard strop paste and ran to the shave den to see what it can do. OMG I was in shave heaven, I just cant believe how nice this razor performed.
I can understand now why they are so popular. This is my first Henckels but certainly not my last. I am a believer. I welcome all the Henckels experts out there to please help me identify this razor. I really don't know what wood the scales are made from or if it is stainless steel or not. Any help would be appreciated.
CheersDon't drink and shave!

I'm really loving the one I bought from another member here.
Don't know much about it other than it is a 4/8 and shaves like a dream. Marked with either a "77" or "177" but I haven't been able to determine anything about its age or origin.
Definitely looking forward to adding some more twins to my collection!

I like the bigger blades so 17 or 17 1/2 carbon or stainless. If I had to keep one razor it would be between this and a Fili 14.

I just acquired this one. It needed rehoning as I was not content with the edge it had when I received it. But as all of my Henkels, it took on a great edge just like the rest of them. I shaved with it this morning - another great shaver added to the lineup.

I have a mint vintage JA Henckels 17 7/8 coming my way I'll let you know how it shaves and I'll put some pictures up.

This thing stopped my RAD dead in its tracks (bought it from Noah (TucoRamirez) easily the best edge I've experienced)

I like most any Henckels and have many of their grinds. Lately, the old heavies have been pushing back at the Sheffields!
