Thanked: 3226That is the problem with opinion/experience threads, there are just too many variables to get anything close to meaningful out of them.

I disagree, on the premise that "meaningful" is subjective. Maybe someone reading this wants to buy either a Dovo or a Revisor, or maybe they just want some interesting stories to read about some razors that they may or may not have. Everyone's individual experiences add up to collective experience. Different perspectives also bring forth a wider and less biased perspective.
So let's hear some stories

Thanked: 3226Well no, meaningful is not subjective at all. A consistent scientifically carried out test of various razors over a large enough sampling will give you quantifiable results. No matter who uses the razor these test results remain the same and so are meaningful.
Individual experiences are just that individual and may or may not apply to the same razor someone else is using too because that individual is different.
Yes, individual experiences are interesting if nothing else.

You just proved my point Bob, as you just outlined what is meaningful to you. Another example would be a portrait of your family...meaningful to you but not to me Different people find meaning in different things.
I personally wasn't aware that we were trying to create concrete statistics anyhow. I don't even think it practical with razors, purely because you can have two of the same razor and have differences between them due to the manufacturing process and the individuals using them. Because of this, any "statistic" should of course be taken with a grain of salt, just like you would when heeding other's experiences/opinions on any given subject.
The thread is simple guys...what do you think of these two razor manufacturers.
