Default Revisor vs Dovo...which do you like better?

I'm talking modern production, not vintage. I've got one of each...I'm curious to other's thoughts.

Send me a new Dovo and I'd be happy to supply an opinion. Only have one new production razor and it is a Revisor. I'd be interested to know too.

Doesn't really matter which Revisor or Dovo I suppose, whichever you have experience with.

    Kyle,
Not a fan of your revisior?? I've learned once it's actually honed to your liking they make great shavers

Hmm let me think about this
    Apple Pie... No No Cherry,
    No wait Apple.
Oh dear Granny Smith or Fuji

Even amongst my few Dovo blades it depends and changes with time.
Truly a tough question and I don't think I could pick.

    That's not it

Just wondering if anyone has any preferences for one or the other or if anyone has noticed any slight/nuanced differences between these two "cousins"

I think that my Revisor is a little bit smoother of a shaver than my Dovo, although the Revisor is a bit more of a pain [for me] to strop due to the shape of the tang and shoulderless design. Both razors were honed at the same time by the same person, which eliminates some variables when comparing them.

I realize that this is a completely subjective topic...but that's the point!

I'll throw a spanner in the works, neither do yourself a favour and buy a Wacker.

OK Jamie, just to throw another spanner in the works I have a Wacker and Dovo and would be hard pressed to express a preference. The Dovo is a Bergischer Lowe 5/8" and the Wacker is the Chevalier 6/8" two completely different razors but both deliver equally good results.

Unfortunately I can't comment on Revisor apart from saying I've heard only good things about them.
