Bit of a soak in some wd40
And see what we've got. The hone wear doesn't look too bad either. Are they bone scales?

Not sure if they're bone, the pics aren't the best. Did you notice the vendor has only photographed one scale ?

I did, only one side of the blade too. If the blade is ok and the scales are knackered I could live with re scaling too. The blade looks reasonable and if the scales are good, all the better.

It's item 350948615624 on eBay UK. Celebrated hollow ground with a bit of rust but £25. Can't really say no to that.
A W&B Celebrated Hollow Ground for 25 Quid??? If the blade itself is OK, or needs a bit of work, get it, worst comes to worst regarding the scales, you can always have them replaced.

    Horns and Thunder!!!

I think Lord Nelson won the battle of Trafalgar after having a shave with one of those...for that price grab it, that's a must have blade!!!

Tis got thanks to my good lady wife! She took all of the internal conflict away for me.

It's got some evident hone wear but at it's age I'll let that slide and hopefully Neil Miller can work his magic on it for me. It'll be the new year now. If I spend any more on shaving I may just wind up bruised

If Nellie can do it, so can I! "Boatswain, ready the dinghy!"

I don't recall seeing a razor in Nelson's possessions. I spent a good bit of time aboard HMS Victory playing in parts of the ship tourists weren't allowed in.

I may have missed it. He had a rather nice cabin.

    Congratulations!!!

You won't be disappointed, they're in a league of their own! And if you have Neil working some magic on it, you'll have a real keeper, something for the next generation!

    Cheers!

Just sent a warning shot his way about it. There was a thread about the fact we're having a boy and getting his first razor/heirloom razor. This may well be it if it's alright.

I'll be buggered if he's getting my little Harrison Bros & Howson razor
