Thanked: 43Dexter, If it makes you feel any better I can't begin to list the shaving stuff I have acululated since December!!
My theory is if I can get an exact count on things I have then I don't have very many of them.

I mostly use a Friodur 5/8 round point (70 1/2), but do occasionally use one of my several other SRs. I also use a Merkur Vision DE for final clean-up of hard to get spots. After shaving and application of witch hazel, if I notice some additional missed spots, I finish touch-up with a Merkur 37C. I must confess that I never worry about finding a SR or DE when I need to shave. Er, I do have three Friodur 70 1/2 s, but I use the same one most of the time.

I've done it for the last year or two. I have the razor sitting in the bathroom and use it until it stops shaving, then get another one from the stash.
They've been 5/8 full hollows - one puma, one wusthoff, one-two non-famous german brands, one current production dovo, one of the special edition ti's, one 6/8 friodur - I think that covers it all because with proper stropping they go for many months.
I've got a big collection (and that's probably only a third of all razors I've ever gotten) and at some point I used 6 razors per single shave, so this is the opposite end of the spectrum - get a decent razor, hone it well, use it until it doesn't shave too well; don't worry too much whether it is 'the best razor' or has 'the best edge' - I know they are very good razors and the edges are very good too.

Thanked: 375One DE (head shaves) for the week before switching, and a different straight every shave.

I have but a handful of razors. I shave with only 3 of them.

I just use one toothbrush...oh wait, that's not true. I keep one in the truck too.
Appears that minimalists is a rare breed indeed. Of course I would think that many mini's wouldn't own their own devices for web access, so maybe they have to go to work or the library or bum some access to reply here.

Well I am a minimalist of sorts. I have more than one razor (more than I need) but I usually just use one day after day and although I have some more expensive soaps, brushes, creams, AS, and colognes I usually end up using a cheap boar brush, dove soap, and a $5.00 Stetson. Why? I don't know. I guess as a challenge to my skill level or just because I get satisfaction knowing that I can get by with out all the bells and whistles. Maybe its to keep me grounded so I don't wind up a razor snob (no offense to the snobs out there). I am not sure. Once in a while I will bust out the badger brush with a luxury soap or cream and finish off with a......actually i finish with Aqua Velva. Lol. I just like the burn!

I have just 3 razors. Of those three I really only use one, the Dovo Best Quality my girl bought me for Christmas. I bought the second one to practice honing. Then the third for the same reason when I discovered the second razor has a slightly warped blade. I intend to sell the second blade because it has a nice set of bone scales but haven't logged back onto my computer. Apparently the picture uploads from my ipad are too large for the SRP seller section. I plan to not have more than 2 razors at any given time. I'm hoping to get one or two of my brothers into straights eventually and want to be able to maintain their razors in addition to my own.
I'm not going to talk about soaps/creams though...
