I will prefix this with: i own 3 straight razors, one gold dollar (to destroy figuring out the hones i bought) and one d/e that i rather impetuously bought 100 blades for ( app 35 years supply).
But out of that i only use my J.A. Hellberg frameback that i bought from Carl (carlmaloschnieder), the exception being if i get loaned a razor to try out, i will be off it for a week whilst i try out whatever i have borrowed. I have owned it since august last year, and its been a good companion.
I am deciding on a second razor to have at home, i work away so i would like to keep a razor at work and a razor at home. I currently pack all three and take them too and fro. Yes i know that i only use one but the box i have holds 3.
I am also whittling down the various soaps and creams i own until i have one for home and one for work.

Good luck with that Ed. The loneliness of the lack of mass will assert itself and you will once again be plagued by the mounds of 'ADs surrounding you in comfort. You are warned (with sympathy and understanding.)

I got my cousin into SR shaving and he still has only one razor. A Dovo best quality.

A friend showed me his grandfathers straight razor (now this friend is 80 himself so it's a while ago were talking) It was a rusty piece of junk. I gathered the opinion from the forum that it was restorable, so restore we did. It was honed and repined by Oz.

Although many do - I don't believe in razor bigamy or razor adultery This one gives me fantastic shaves!

    Creams on the other hand…

Great story and beautiful razor! Nice restore! :
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

I like the variety of a rotation, but I could easily settle on my Brian Brown 15/16, or Ralf Aust 7/8 Square. Easy to touch up, consistently great shaves, though to be honest, I've never had a bad straight razor shave with any razor, including a Gold Dollar.

I currently have two straights, one that I had restored and professional honed and a Whipped Dog that I use for every shave. I use the restored razor as a reference for when I touch up the WD to make sure I'm getting a good edge. I also have a 12000k hone, a simple leather strop(WD poor man), a Rudy Vey badger brush, three shave soaps and a couple aftershaves. I have been looking to get more stuff but only to switch out some items with better quality ones, not to add to the collection. I would consider what I have pretty minimalist compared to some members on this forum, lol.

But I want to know are those three razors, ones you made for yourself? Or are you waiting for that one blade that you beat into submission but just can't part with, because it just turned out to awesome to share?
    I know I would

    It was this one:

To date, I've only seen one other like it, and that one had been badly worn down. I've still got it because unless it's post-1900, I keep everything. But I've got a lot of Greaves razors.
