I think you made a great choice. Scott at Portland Razor Company takes a lot of pride in his work. #1 for customer satisfaction.

I don't think I have ever heard a review on these.

They offered to send some out for review and that was the last I heard of them.

I just looked at the website. They look unchanged. I'm still not crazy about the aesthetics of that heel but at least it is a unique style. The Leviathan is listed as a square point but it appears to be a spike point.

Please let us know how it shaves.

2/17/15 The heel has been changed and the Gustave model is now called Siren and comes with jimps. Check Portland's site for more info. Razors look very nice... I ordered one.

I really do wish I knew about the change in the stock thickness before I bought mine. I'm not real happy about the two layers of tape to hone it.

Nice Razor Wid: PRC has made some nice changes to their 2015 razor line-up. Scott's learning his trade well, listens to what the customers want, and he's manufacturing a very nice straight razor.

I have the older model also. Just another excuse to purchase a new razor with an improved design.

    What was the change?
Is the blade geometry off without the tape?
