Where does one find these with relative ease?

No idea, these thing have exploded in price in the last year, use to be able to gobble up razors like this for 50-60 all day, now anything over 5/8ths and in good condition friodur goes close to 100 or more, unless you get really lucky.

People seem to really appreciate how good the soligen makers really were.

There is a seller in Japan on eBay that had two very nice 472s just under $150. That same seller will from time to time decide to do auctions on his offerings. When that happens, they become cheaper. I have three and didn't pay more than $125 for any of them. But something to keep in mind is that I am of the believe that these razors hold their own with Fillys, Double Ducks, and all the other highly coveted razors that people are willing to spend several hundred dollars on with the resignation that this is simply the going rate for the top end razors. And compared to the base model Dovo Best Quality, it's a very reasonable price in my eyes. No, you won't find them for $30. They are undervalued but not a secret either.
