The Friodurs are truly amazing. Cudarunner lent me a few and I love them. This will my my second. I've tried quite a few types/designs, and I love these the most.

Nice razor and I'm sure a great shaver also. I've got two identical 17 1/2's and a 451, all grate blades and very easy to hone even though they are stainless. They are the razors I take with me when I am living in the bush in very humid conditions.

I have a 7/8 Friodur on loan from a friend that seems really similar to yours. If I'm not mistaken, they were from a batch of 7/8 Friodur blanks ground by a Hungarian(?) grinder.

They hone up and shave just fine - nothing awful, nothing special - but I find the grind job and finish rather rough and as such, aesthetically off-putting. I like the looks of older grind Friodurs better, myself.

Henckels is my favorite brand. I have quite a few different ones, both carbon steel and the Friodurs. Happy shaving!

I have a new mint 472 1/2, the Japanese version with the floral spine work. I have not had time to hone it yet but I am really looking foward to the shave. This might not happen soon because I keep getting more razors! Filarmonica sub cero, EPBD, and doble temple come first...
