I have so many I'm constantly after, but this is one that has always been at the back of my mind. I have never seen one for sale. (JRD Huggins, a barber in NY)

I always like the things you come up with ScienceGuy. I did score me a carved Ivory Joseph Rodgers & Sons straight razor but it really needs a nicer blade. I love those you showed in Show & Tell awhile back.

    1. Damascus Tim Zowada in mammoth
    2. Iwasaki tamahagane (near nos) (If i can get the kamijo version, all the better)
    3. visiting mastro livi to make one for me
    4. Joseph Rodgers Dutch rattler - JR has my preference to wade and butchers
    5. Filarmonica 14 ESPD white scales square point
    6. heljestrand 7/8th ie, Mk 134 ( if in ivory all the better )
    7. Duble Duck wonder edge or C-mon HF -- cant decide which i would want more.

Seems like most people's holy grail is Wade And Butcher for barbers use or celebrated razors

Gotlieb Hammesfahr 6/8 round nose. Porcelain skin finish.
runner up is either one of my Filarmonicas, Tamahagane frameback, or DD goldedge.......And, hopefully the next one, as kelbro mentioned.
    Hyperbole is highly exaggerated.

Well I found my Holy Grail razor, albeit a "wounded" one.

In an attempt to straighten the spine, the previous owner split the razor along the tang, it was silver-soldered back together, is very solid and looks great and I figure this is probably the closed I'll ever get to one of these. Beautiful wedge grind, and gave a wonderful shave.

Well, Phrank! You got an old toe-swooping wedge with a nice tang. Your Grail!

I reckon you have retired from acquisitions and are giving some of us a chance?

    How does it shave?

    Never!!

And if you'd ever let some of that treasure trove you have go, I'd be back in full force, along with the rest of Western Civilization...

....you have some real beauties, I've seen 'em
