Thanked: 2Portland Razor update ...
Those of you who have purchased or ordered razors from PRC may want to check the company's blog this morning. The synopsis is that Scott has been diagnosed with testicular cancer, and will be undergoing chemo for the next several weeks. He assures everyone that the company isn't going anywhere, and that the rest of the PRC team will keep making razors during his absence.
Best wishes to Scott and all of the PRC folks.

Saw this about 5 minutes ago . . . he seems to think chances are good for a positive outcome, so lets hope he is right. The delays in the build queue were already posted in a previous blog entry, so I guess those of us waiting for our blades will be waiting a while longer.
Scott was talking about 90 days of intense treatment . . . so lets pray for some good news by September.

Perhaps the collective positive thoughts and prayers from Scott's supporters here will help him move through this crisis.

That's crazy. I was just up at their shop early last month. Scott struck me as a great guy. Sending some positive thoughts his way.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

Certainly Scott's health is foremost! I custom ordered my razor going on 2.5 months ago and was 200 in que at the time. I am not worried about them hurrying production as I am Scott's well being. They will get to them and one day I will receive my custom beauty I placed my order for.
Wishing Scott and the team at PRC the best! God Bless and get well!German blade snob!

Cancer treatment is expensive. I have purchased and received two custom razors from PRC. Now that I know the reason for the recent delays, I'll be placing an order for my third custom. If I receive the razor by Christmas of 2015 I'll be happy. It's the least I can do to help out a friend.

Thanked: 2Yep, I ordered mine a little over 3 months ago and of course I'm anxious, but ... this is a good reminder that there are things in this world way more important than getting a new razor. That's where our thoughts should be.
And I'm still confident that good things will come to all of us who are waiting.
