    Well, you survived, so your first shave was a success!

    The hardest part for most people are their chins. Except for the guys who's hardest part is their neck. It just depends on the particulars of the individual beard.

    As for shaving your sideburns you will figure out a razor hold and a direction of approach to that area that will allow you to see what you are doing. You don't always have to hold the razor with the scales at 270 degrees; sometimes 180 is more appropriate, and sometimes even somewhere between 180 and 90.

    John,

    After my first str8 razor shave I looked like I had been trapped in a sack with a wild cat. Wow Not too pretty. The chin was the hardest for me. I wear specs too but I just get closer to the mirror.
