You did leaped before you looked, and the razor you bought is useless...

    Ask first, than buy.

welcome to the world of straight razors

Without actually seeing it I'd hazard a guess that it's junk, sorry mate.

If you're after a cheap but decent razor I'd suggest you take a look at this or this - quite a few of us have tried these and they're excellent.

I don't have any experience with those razors, and I've never actually heard of them, but the price alone sends up red flags for me. You should expect to pay anywhere from about $50-90 for a good quality new razor. I just think 15 pounds sterling is too cheap for any real workmanship and steel to go into the making of the razor. I could be wrong though.
If you want to buy a razor that's shave-ready, post a thread in the Trade/Buy/Sell section for the UK members here.

I just read through the sellers feedback, and the people that bought razors from him, all gave him good feedback.

I suppose they might know nothing about razors as well.

I will let you know how it shaves when i get it.

how do you score a razor, by the number of cuts on your face?

    regards.

    John.

    Smile Welcome, John

The way to score a razor is by how it shaves. If it slips over your face effortlessly like a hot knife through butter with no irritation, you're singin'. If it pulls and razes you, not so much.

so has anybody heard of that make of razor before.

I did check his seller name against the do not buy from ebay list, and the make of the razor was also not on the list.

    regards

    John.
