Thanked: 884No idea Ed.
I'm blissfully ignorant about copyrights, royalties, and publishing/printing. I suppose it could be scanned and if properly cleared through all the legal mumbo jumbo, could possibly be sold in an e-book type format for not a lot of money.
I've never seen a copy of the book. Those that have mentioned it say it pertains mostly to knives and such. There is a LOT of fake Nazi cutlery out there. A lot of it is so good that the big collectors are fooled. Stuff like that sells for big money hence the market for fakes. Pocket knife fakery goes on but is not nearly as sophisticated an industry as the Nazi fakery. That market is so bad that pretty much anything with the SS markings is suspect.
There are a couple of known fakers on ebay. The guys are good. We know who they are and they've been reported to ebay on numerous occasions. They're still in business and cranking out fake knives. What blows my mind is that their ebay feedback is perfect. Hard to believe there are that many mullets out there willing to pay out considerable cash for what amounts to a piece of junk. If anyone is interested in their ebay names, shoot me a pm.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.

Wullie, it was really a bit of a joke around the theme of the thread.
I imagine the sorts of people who buy nazi memorabilia probably care more about the image having such things portrays to their peer group than the real provenance of such items. They can make up whatever story they like for the item once they have it provided it looks the part.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast
