Default Return of the Gold Dollars... scales

I've handled many infamous gd models and the 208 has the best quality scales despite the hideous black and silver checkering.

Recently a new model has emerged that's imo much easier on the eye, the 209...

Has anyone honed it? Are the scale as solid as the 208?

    Thanks

Hmm I think the guys on B&B would be better suited to answer this question. They love GD's. Maybe try posting it there?

Not trying to be rude but I honestly think you'd have a better shot finding someone who owns this there.

The scales look a lot better then the 208.

The scales look much better, I agree! However I think that the hit or miss rep of those razors will still keep most people away

That does look better than previous models. Who knows, they may be trying to improve their game and overcome their poor rep. I'm at the point where I just might have to try one for S&Gs.

Tried it (66 not the one in OP), LOVED IT, went to sell it and couldn't get .99 for it :-(

That does not surprise me one bit that you could not get 99 cents for it. Me I could care less about selling one. They are cheap enough that if it does not work out I can pitch it in the garbage. OTH if it worked out why would I want to sell it?

    Now Soldier,,,

At times like these, you must ask yourself this, "W.W. M.T.D. What Would Mother Teresa Do?"
Would she turn her back on a Gold Dollar ? No,,,,,, she would welcome all razors.

Well, we keep throwing them out but every other month or so another Newbie brings them back...
