Thanked: 1Return of the Gold Dollars... scales
I've handled many infamous gd models and the 208 has the best quality scales despite the hideous black and silver checkering.
Recently a new model has emerged that's imo much easier on the eye, the 209...
Has anyone honed it? Are the scale as solid as the 208?
Thanks

Hmm I think the guys on B&B would be better suited to answer this question. They love GD's. Maybe try posting it there?
Not trying to be rude but I honestly think you'd have a better shot finding someone who owns this there.
The scales look a lot better then the 208.

The scales look much better, I agree! However I think that the hit or miss rep of those razors will still keep most people away

Thanked: 3222That does look better than previous models. Who knows, they may be trying to improve their game and overcome their poor rep. I'm at the point where I just might have to try one for S&Gs.
