Well, it's on my watch list...

Certainly interesting to see what the final cost will be. Can't decide yet if I will be doing any bidding or just watching

    Cheers

The only thing I can think of is that it's a product of the polishing stage of fashioning the razor.

Thanks to everyone that participated and especially to Jim for his gracious purchase. Jim, I hope you enjoy the razor she's on her way to you now.

This coming Sunday I am planning on selling My Thiers Issard forged bolster razor with the blond horn covered tang. It's another one we talked about here that Pierre himself worked on. No hammer marks but a very wonderful shaver and beautiful to boot. It's got that shining armor type look to the steel. Just looking at it though isn't doing me any good. It needs a good home with someone who is willing to use it. I'll post a link when I list it.

    Here's a link to the item: http://www.classicshaving.com/catalo...551/977967.htm

Mine has the Eagle motif instead of the Wolf and Ram.

    Regards,
    EL

    Congratulations, Jim.
I'm glad someone that can appreciate the razor won.
My funds are depleted as a result of a Plisson brush purchase, otherwise I might have been in the running.
    I'll be watching Tony.
