I'd bet those are ivory simply because of the collarless pins. OTOH, they are rather thick for ivory. A great set and I would say before WWII. I have had a set of Kropp, among other Solingen sets, and they come in a less elaborate box after the war. Very nice set you have there.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 3226That is a very nice 7 day set of heirloom razors. I agree with the others that there may be a chance that that scales are ivory even though they appear too thick but they are collarless pinned. Congrats.

I tend to agree about the scales being a bit thick for ivory, but you'd have to handle them to really know. I have an ivory scaled Kropp but it was made before WWI since it was ground in Hamburg. It has the usual collarless pinning and fairly thin scales typical of ivory. I tend to think ivory was less common after WWI but don't have any real evidence that makers were using collarless pinning with celluloid.

They look very much like the set of Mappin and Webb that I have. Even the box looks the same...
It's just Sharpening, right?
