I guess in this listing it was his home, but Brook Hill could have had small workshops as well as houses. Sheffield in those times was much different from today where industry and manufacturing tend to be away from residential housing.

Probably my most rare is a vintage Timor that belonged to my wife's late father. What makes it rare for me is that fact that theres only 2 straights in the world that he owned and I have both of them. The other is a brand from Sheffield that Ive never heard of and has a huge chip out of the blade to the point where its unrepairable, so its most unusable.

It shaves nice. I really need to get it Re-scaled. The wooden scales are cracked at the pivot pin. Name: 06343DA2-0C02-4FC3-9228-8629F6826665.jpg

The Spine is different from any razor I’ve seen.

I’m not sure about a full restoration. But it does need new scales.

You sure that wood.? Looks like old dried up horn.

If its horn, it can be fixed, and kept original..!

    +1 for horn.
I bought a razor with scales that looked like wood to me at first. Turned out they were just dried out and faded horn. Some fill work and neats foot oil made them look MUCH better. If the neats foot oil doesn't bring back the color, Outback has used black hair dye with great results.

Can you get a picture of the grind from the toe of the blade?

Here is some faded horn I haven't gotten to yet.
