If the horn is delaminated that’s difficult to fix If it’s just dried out soak the scales in neatsfoot oil or slather it on thick and let it sit.
Cheers, Steve

This razor came to me as a bare blade, I've just finished making the black horn scales and honing it.
I've searched all the directory listings and can't find a Brown & Tompkins, Sheffield. I'm guessing they may have been retailers but where ??
The scales are my guess as to what it had when new, but with out the originals or any reference to another it's pure guesswork.Regards Brian

Is there a lever on the top of the spine to cam lock the blade securely in place. The French did that.
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

Thanked: 4827A very cool item for certain, and likely not many good examples around.
