Here's a Mappin "75 Cent" razor I received in a lot from eBay. The intent was to start practicing restoration.

The scales on this one are toast. Too bad.

I'm not sure how much sandpaper time I want this one to see. The Hollow Ground etching on the blade is almost gone. However, rust is setting in at a few spots, so it will need a bit of attention.

I'm glad I could help ya out with that, Sonny. I just couldn't stand seeing those scales going to waste.

I highly recommend clicking on the before picture in the original post so everyone can see what that thing originally looked like.

Do what...repair a busted horn scale.? Its all in the the, " What are you working on " thread, in the workshop.

In short...its bog oak dust, and structural epoxy

And a few other steps, such as dying the scales.

Speaking of which, I've got a Wosty that needs a scale repair and then it needs the gold lettering brought back. I'm sure I'll be seeking guidance in the What Are You Working On thread...

That should be enough to get ya in trouble.
