Naaaa, just paying it forward. It and others have been gifted to me, and I've bought many from flea markets , on the cheap. A quick restore on the blade, dug up some old scales n gave um a clean up, pinned, honed, test shave, and send to a new home.
My only problem is I'm running out of round points.!!
I've tried giving this razor away to other newbs, only to see them tuck their tails n run.
If I'm going to help on his journey to better shaves, ya gotta have quality tools for the job. Giving away a good razor, won't make or break me. I've got over 160 shave ready, and plenty more in the ta doo box. As a mentor/ enabler, its my duty to try and help, especially the new guys IMO.Mike

Diesel has probably already sent him a warning!!!
When I first joined this forum I think I had an offer to hone my blade but I'm skeptical of unfamiliar people online and figured they were just going to charge a bunch for honing. Now I realize there is just a lot of great guys here.
I've shaved off of wedge honed by Mike and it was really smooth. A full hollow would probably be like butter.- Joshua

Thanked: 8Update. I got the razor that outback sent to me yesterday. Since I had to go to work couldn’t do a proper shave. Woke up this morning followed the instructions and shaved. Well all I can say is it’s 100 times better of a shave than with either of the ones I posted about

Its hard to beat a vintage blade, Anthony.
IMHO they perfected the razor, hundreds of years ago. Its only been refined since then. Now your hooked for life, and even better shaves lie ahead.
Let the ADs begin..!!!Mike

Glad you got it in hand and gave it a go. Outback is a good man and surely fixed you up. Enjoy what a real razor and edge feels like. Be careful and dont fall in the hole of AD too fast.
It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 8The guy who honed the blade prior was a knife honer but he has stones for razors I don’t remember how high. I will have to learn to hone myself or find someone that can hone razors
