Thanked: 15Roy.....I am beyond humbled by your offer....I really can’t even imagine how I could be this fortunate to find people that care about other people. I wish my dad was doing this with me....He would have loved this....it is something we never talked about....I didn’t see his razor until 2 nights ago when I was separating his tools in his workshop....I knew he had the strop since I was born, it hung down in our barbershop/hair salon in the basement.....I want to learn and I want my son to learn as well....thank you for giving me faith ....Kathy

UP DATE
The razor is on it's way to an Exclusive Straight Razor Spa Resort in the boonies of Northern Idaho where it can relax and be refreshed and feel like it did years ago when it was young and in it's prime.
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

Thanked: 104Cudarunner make sure to post the pic of the finished product. The guys on SRP are amazingly helpful and generous and wont lead you astray. Leadmeknot, you could easily shave legs with a straight too! Videos on youtube to show you how its done.
Thanks Cudarunner for keeping the bar of conduct so high. You are a good man.

Touching to read through this sequence of posts.
Such a wonderful place.
Kathy, I'm sorry for your loss, it's unimaginable for me to lose the man I call father.
I know your father would be proud, and your son will have a great piece of family history.
Roy is a good man, and that bit about the razor off to a day spa made me laugh out loud!

Eagerly waiting to see this bad boy return from the spa treatment. What a nice gesture @cudarunner!
As the time passes, so we learn.
