I bought a used one, 5/8 with an amazingly thin grind. It takes and holds a nice edge. I have not had any problems maintaining the edge. I use 1 layer of tape.

He must have learned a thing or two since that linked thread on here. That is despite getting all bitter and twisted in that thread regarding geometry of a razor. Good for him.

Nice looking blades, if they're performing well could be worth a look. Though I'm pretty sure my first custom will be a Koraat. Their configurator and the Koraat club thread have been killing me. I've got to drink two extra glasses of water a day to keep up with the drool.

I have been researching Drew Dick for a few years. I have more than a few customs.
This western grind 1/4 hollow is stupid amazing good. He was very easy to deal with.

Dry shaved my arm when I opened the package. Popping hairs. 1 layer of tape and had to do a few laps just because. 2nd lap, water running up the blade face. 20 laps, stropping routine and took it out for a test drive.
This razor is stupid amazing good. all requisites were exceeded. From balance in hand to closeness of shave in comfort. I am a diehard full hollow for life shaver. This 1/4 grind has me questioning my religion good. This must be an anomaly good.
Your only as good as your last hone job.

I looked for a website but didn't see one. After reading a lot of unfortunate backstory it appears that whatever happened in the past he has learned from and moved forward. That seems an astonishing step forward from his first handful. I'm glad he stayed with it because he makes a fabulous looking razor, always has. There seems to be good form to this most recently posted one.
