If you look, the actual spine follows the edge .

Some 'Boker 1056' weight up top.....

The heel and toe are pretty darn sharp. Under the windowsill they go!

I won't be buying one. Tried before.

A thought.....Remember the guys doing outlandish customization on the GDs?

GD has now done it for you!
Yup, noticed I was wrong about the spine from the photo in post #6.

Who knows, maybe GD has been looking and listening over the years so that they can offer a much improved product with wider appeal. Good for them if that is the case.

Yup, they have been learning. Might have to change my view of the GD razors.

There's no escaping the might of the Gold Dollar.
In 100 years time there will be forums on them and go for ridiculous sums of money.

So do you think that the Kingsland is a contract razor made by GD or that they are both buying from the same maker and adding their own logo? OR is it possible that the Kingsland is a copy?

Maybe it's just as well I didn't associate it with GD. I might have formed preconceived notions about it. I had no issues with the way it shaved. I also thought about taming that point a little as someone else mentioned.

Yes, I think you are right about not having associated it with the GD. The GD had such a bad rep at the start, even listed in the do not buy section of the library, that is very hard to come back from. Your experience has been good so they may have improved in the interim.

Yes, you an give yourself a nice dueling scar with a tip like that if not careful. Take nothing to blunt the tip if you desire.

Someone stated you can buy 100 GD's and get whatever name you want on them.....

The 2nd one above looks like an old smiling Sheffield.

May like to try that one?
