    A friendly warning.

if the maker had used a groover to cut a channel for the threads to live in, it may have helped some to clean up the wavy stitch line on the edges. He did use a stitch wheel, the stitch lengths are very consistent.

in any case, it is functional and the maker, assuming he was a hobbyist and not professional, could be proud of his work.
You are correct I believe, push through the top/bottom pieces then out the side hence why the top/bottom are pretty straight and uniform, sides not so. The stitch count is something you'd only see on shoes mainly for hand stitch even a sheath and a small one at that would likely be less.

Very functional indeed and would have been proud I imagine, still here after all this time, and did very much protect the razor.

Shaved with the razor for the first time, needs more work on the
last 13mm back from the point, I thought it did before I shaved with it just thumbing it about..

Micro nick is gone and tried to shape the whole edge to the back and shoulder. I'll take some photos when I'm next into it..

I must say the rest of the edge have a very smooth shave, widest blade I've ever shaved with so far and it felt pretty cool to be honest. If I'd say one thing about how it was different from a 5/8 was there is more scope for the range of angle to my skin.
