love those scales, they remind me of the grips on my favorite carry gun (also g10 stuff). You gonna be producing these in quantity at some point?

Thanked: 182the order thing is sorta up in the air when it comed to folders and to me razors count as folders even tho i dont have to set up locks on them. folders are more a when i can fit them in job.
also i have just 4 W1 steel blanks ground and need to get more W1 or 52100 (maybe get deker to make some Damascus steel for me ) im guessing that stainless razor's are not "in" but i can get cpm154 in thicknesses i use and can heat treat to 62-63 RC
any how thanks again and any and all feed back and tips are welcome

Stainless razors are in, for a certain segment of of the buying public. I'm already using CPM154CM and ht to 60-61Rc. I think anything over that's gonna be pretty brittle without increasing edge holding much. Just my opinion, though. There was a post on here a while back concerning steel hardnesses, and the surprising thing was how soft some of the older razors were (and they shaved magnificently). Each steel has an optimum working hardness, and that seems to be 59-61 for 154CM.

Thanked: 182154cm vs cpm154 i have found that i can run the cpm154 a point harder no problems and the kitchen knives i have been making this way have not had any chipping problems.
but like you said to each there own
way it looks while ive been reading a bunch here lately (even before joining up) there is tons more for me to red and ask about
other thing i need to do is get this blade top DC so he can play with it to let me know how i did

Thanked: 3795I'm curious how you did the LN cryo tempering. You didn't just plunge it in, did you?

Thanked: 3795Actually, I should add that the whole thing is gorgeous and the scales are quite unique! I do agree that it seems that the spacer should be narrower, but I promise that is my only "criticism." Good luck with them!
