Thread: Witch Dovo to get

I like the carbon blade. I can not give an opinion though because I havn't tried the SS from Dovo. I do however own the Special in tortoise 5/8 and it is a regular along side my modist vintage collection. I did hear a respected member of the forum with an extensive collection at the Ohio roundup state that the special was a great shaver and this guy appears to have shaven with pert near everything.

I have noticed this too, especially for the 5/8 which is very well-reviewed and recommended (not only) for starters, here and on other sites. CS frequently runs out of stock, which is not surprising since their price is $25 lower than everyone else's. I have a feeling that will not be true for much longer, so if only for that reason, I would pick that one up first. If you don't like it, I am sure many would love to take it off your hands.

So, pick the one you fancy more, and sooner or later you'll really want to try out the other and will. Then you'll know for sure and if you don't want to keep both, I'm certain you won't have hard time finding a taker.

Thanks for the feedback, I will go for the special, I was only interested in the scale of the MOP anyway. It seems that the 5/8 is more popular, I am still not sure about the size but I will probably go for the 6/8

The same blade as the MOP (Stainless #41) is available
on the SS Pearlex. This is a great razor, my favourite so
far.
