One last thing: I think the grammar and syntax of a person say a lot about their standards and abilities in life. Attention to detail and propriety show a strength of character and maturity; your laziness in this area shows a disregard for even simple standards.
I suggest that your standards in shaving may be on par with other benchmarks you have set for yourself....

Since you have a Zeepk phenomenon occurring you should offer to allow this razor to go on tour to all those who wish to pay for shipping. Then clean it and send it back.

Welcome to the forum, but you may want to hit the newbie section and the Wiki a little harder. Maybe a formal introduction before jumping into the fray. I understand brand loyalty, but with posting new stuff on an old post promoting what most find as inferior, is a little controversial.
I understand the firearm relation as well, for most enthusiasts would never touch a Hi-Point firearm. What they are missing is a fantastic carbine rifle at a very affordable cost.
With that scenario in mind, I do not expect my Hi-Point to maintain accuracy and functionality through thousands and thousands of rounds compared to say, a Berreta carbine. But it is fun to use in the meantime.
Same thing goes with razors, you get what you pay for. If it is working for you now, enjoy it while it lasts. At least until you can afford the higher grade equipment.
For me, my face deserves better. As for firearms, own as many boomsticks as you can and get as wide a variety as well.Last edited by kilowattkid; 08-25-2009 at 06:17 PM.

Do note that everything you write here is being permanently recorded for posterity, indexed by Google, and promoted in thousands of servers worldwide. There is nothing you could ever write that will leave as long-lasting an impression as something you post on the internet; unless, of course, you are using pigeon English to disguise the fact that you are really Sir Francis...

Brand loyalty? Wade & Butcher, Wade & Butcher, Wade & Butcher, Wade & Butcher...as good as they were 180 years ago when the Sheffielders forged them..their long gone, but their blades still remain keen and shaving for many more generations to come! Hail the maltese cross!
A bit of patriotism also. Im from England where they were made.

The last time a post was made on this thread prior to your first posting yesterday was 6-20-2008.
As for "retooling", Hi-point has a "no questions asked send it back they will fixit lifetime warranty" It doesn't get any easier than this.
Now please, Go to the newbie section and formally introduce yourself. Your member page has been visited by many mods and mentors, probably trying to figure out if you are a troll or sincere. Start at the beginning and work your way to being a "pompous a$$" like me.
Good day, I have no more, the last word is yours sir.

Thanked: 0now i know for sure you a pompus little thing arent ya? personally what i posted on a shave forum will probably never matter again in life, and honestly anyone with such a superiority complex as to really make a decision on the value of another person based on the way they right in a social setting, well at the risk of offending a moderator if you put your nose back down you might notice the unpleasent smell of the place you currently have your head stuck
oh and also i write in the form made on the internet be glad i actually spell out most of my words because if you havent notice informal written english has changed a bit in the past ten odd years ya know since the internet exploded out everywhere and written comunications moved faster than snail mail you twit

I think the reason a lot of the members here use a straight (myself included) is because it incorporates into our lives a little slice of the past, when things were made better and we didn't have this crazy disposable McCulture that we have today.
A straight razor takes longer to shave with, has one heck of a learning curve, and for a great deal of members here, is much more expensive than using a cartridge. Why do we continue to use a straight razor then? Refer to the thread 'why shave straight' for reasons.
A Zeepk razor is an insult to people who wish to get away (at least briefly) from our disposable society where everything is made to last a year or two and then be replaced by another poorly made product.
When I buy a brand new Dovo, TI, etc. I know that I can bring the edge to a sharpness level that will give me a superlative shave better than any cartridge razor. The reason for this is because they were made well and with the straight shaving consumer in mind.
When I buy a Zeepk razor, it's going to be a crapshoot on whether I can even get the edge to a shave-worthy sharpness and if it will stay there or not. It's simply a mass-produced piece of novelty steel that is nowhere near the same quality of a new or vintage straight from more reputable brands.
As far as "pompousness" goes, this board has some of the nicest members who will go out of their way to help you, I think you will find instances of pompousness few and far between.
Just realize that a large number of us are seeking quality and not simply a way to save money. If using a cheap straight razor is your way to save money from buying cartridges all the time, there's nothing wrong with that, but for a lot of us that's only a secondary concern (or not a concern at all).
