If it is one from the Fritz Bracht era with his name stamped on the reverse tang I would say it is likely worth it. If it is newer production I don't know.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I've not shaved with a Dorko, but from what I hear they are hard to get a hold of because no one wants to let them go. For that reason alone, I'd say you made out pretty good. For a desirable NOS razor, $161 isn't much at all.

I just got the same razor $163. I am waiting for it to arrive. I love the big Dorko's I already have 2. plus 3 smaller ones. Great razor.

I knew Dovos had Fritz Bracht markings in some periods, but did Dorkos?

I think that was a mistake. Fritz Bracht is Dovo. Dorko is different.

I'd only do it for the blade alone without taking the scales into account. They don't look original and they don't look that great in my opinion. But the blade looks great if you are into it.

    Default dorko

sorry i think(again it is just my opinions)it is not worth that amount money.
i had 1 of them dorko 300-with original handle +original box made from same material as a handle.it was for travelers dorko.Dorko gives great shave i would say 1 of the nicest.
300 should made from silver steel at least what i had made "best silver steel"
why i am saying it is not worth it.
1 st handle is not original handle
2 i think seller had worked on blade(iam not sure warped etc.
    3.a lot money to spend
it is not special blade or edition.

by the way i sold mine aproximately for 65 quite time ago
